OMG. OMG. OMG. I don't have an awesome enough icon to encompass my feelings.

So season finales tonight. Watch me flail. I'm not going to cry yet (I was) but first.

1 SV has won over my heart. If you're going to go out, that's the way to do it, really. Nice work MR. Can I say my little CLexer heart missed a beat. spoilers and joy )

Then I saw the promo for SPN. I hopped up and down on one foot, cursed, and stubbed my toe. I almost started crying before the episode started. My parents got home. The both want to watch the finale, even my dad, weird. ^^
spoilers and the amazingness that is the awesomest show in history )

Supernatural is the most amazing thing. I need to go buy season 3 right now. Okay as soon as I get paid but still!

And, I was super productive this afternoon too, I wrote two papers and watched more BSG, which is still good, still overly long (as in no episode breaks and logical stop points) but I'm enjoying it more as we go. Starbuck's still my fav.

I'm officially obessed. I think my mothers amused. Finally something that's not anime...but it is still comics. I love the internet. I spent yesterday evening hitting up google for Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor) and giggling madly the whole time, though I *was* double tasking by doing my Creative Writing homework at the same time.
My mother: You think he's cute?
me: o.O *thinks a momement*, he looks better without hair than with hair, and he's kinda funny and <3 character. Hm. Possibly.
Mother: you know you're in your formative stages for setting up attraction. Maybe you'll find bald people attractive.
me: -_- Mother: laughs.
Having a therapist parent who knows all about "developemental stages" is an interesting experience. Anyways, youtube=happiness, I want the smallville discs to arrive at the library.

I went there in hopes this morning (after dropping off the pie for the constest. Sorry I didn't help bake it, I know this makes it sound like I was goofing off, but I *did* do my homework). They didn't have smallville but I now have 14 american comics, assorted batman (2), constantine(2) and Superman. ^^ Including Superman vs. Lex Luthor, which my library had lying in the recesses of the shelf. tee hee. It's fascinating to read the intro/backstory because so much has changed between that and smallville, it's interesting to see the character morphage. Red-haired mad teenage scientist friend type to white collar criminal to mix of the two. And somethings dropped and added along the line. He has a wife >.> and children, and spent at least one story arc beating a powerless superman up. And he tried to find a cure for kyrptonite (before the whole hair thing) which is the reason he hates superman. Sucky reason to hate someone "you accidentally burned off my hair, permenantly", so I wonder what smallville's going to do since he's already bald. And he did get to be president.

On notes of changes from the original. Lana Lang the *redhead*, Pete is a WASP, and there are absolutely no asian/black characters (except for the occasional girlfriend when superman get's amnesia [possibly why it becomes an issue in smallville -becka?], like that polonesian chick, and then of course bad representation of Japanese during WWII). And here I was thinking she was an invention of smallville, hardly, of course there's also competition from a mermaid (Lorie Lemaris) of all things. Geeze. Note all the L.L. (god not crossovers SupermanxDeathnote just waiting to happen) people, and note the pattern, Lex Luthor anyone? Sorry I just have too many happy fits. But really American comics are *so* phallic (not that manga isn't, it's just not as blatant), bombs and rockets, and tanks and guns and everything and generally they're positioned about waist hight. Of course he's wearing spandex underwear over spandex body-suit (with not much to show for it, Heero-esque almost), though I do note some artists go for more "realism" O.O. Anyways the long and short of it is I'm a total geek and I stayed up till midnight reading through a book on "The faces of superman" covers of superman over the years and I litterally squeeled every time Lex showed up. And before that I read about 10 fanfics. I've collected about 23.5MB of them (that's 233 fanfics waiting to be read), stocking up for winter I guess, though with the rate I'm reading through them they might not last as long. Joy.
