So, life has been interesting recently, mainly just with cramming all this stuff in.

Thursday was a day to feel like a moron, but a successful one. I set my alarm for 8 so I could get up for class, and didn't check if it was on am or pm. LaSheena's alarm went off at 8:30. I woke up. I have an 8:30 class. I made it out the door and across campus in 6 minutes and 43 seconds (Tessa timed me). I'd say that's freaking impressive. Also I was barefoot, and failing the whole way, but it worked.

Then I had geology, in which we were supposed to do review and wound up learning new stuff we hadn't covered that was going to be on the test. Then we reviewed. I was a bit annoyed through the first part of the class because I had *questions* and wanted to get to the review bit. Anyways it all worked out and I felt very confident about the test.

Thursday night was Dress Rehearsal for Dance Alloy and it went swimmingly. I'm quite pleased. Then Tessa, Terah and I listened to music I'm considering choreographing to next semester. Tessa went to hang with Owen after that and Terah and I went back to her room. We ate ramen/pho (omg they have instant pho, not quite as good but awesome still) and watched fanvids until 1 am. It was genius and now Terah is crushing on Justin and has decided to watch all of QaF over the summer...it's really not my fault. Anyways we enjoy being uberdorky and she's my fellow fannish-soulmate here on campus so it was quite fun.

Today was my day for feeling awesome. I'm now officially done with classes. I've turned in all but one of my papers which is due Wednesday. I did lots of efficient work at work today and then chatted with my supervisor for an hour while it poured and thundered outside because we'd both finished our work and he didn't want to walk home in the rain and I was still on the clock until someone could think of something for me to do. They also had doughnuts. My work loves me and that's awesome. I also sent my last few paychecks to my bank and got to add 300$ to my name which is lovely. I feel very rich now (this is what happens when the only things you buy are DVDs of choir concerts for your parents).

Then I read one of my poems at the lit-mag publishing party, ate dinner and had our first Dance Alloy recital. My dance wasn't as good as it was dress rehearsal, but that means we'll have a great show tomorrow and the two goofs I noticed weren't bad and actually work within the piece just fine. Hannah's dance went marvelously. So that was really enjoyable. Sitting around with Tessa, Terah, LaSheena and McKenzie is much more fun than being without any other close friends last year. It makes the waiting for your dance go much faster and the stage make up application sessions far more fun.

So now I get compliments on my dancing, my choreography and my writing, ergo I'm an awesome person. Which means I should write my paper, do my two finals, pack and get back to amplificathon at which I've been slacking because of crunch week and finals. I feel really inspired to be inspriational. And do more choreography, and take lots of photos. This is how I can tell I'm becoming less stressed/it's the end of the year. I feel like being really creative and doing lots of art projects. Maybe I'll finish that scarf even.

And as a final note, this is being crossposted from Dreamwidth to my LJ as I'm no over there/here as 'Pi' so all ya'll who're Dreamwidthing feel free to look me up. My intention is to monitor both places, though my Dreamwidth circle seems far more on the 'fannish people who are awesome' side than the 'people I know and who care about my rambling' so possibly this will be my one personal-esque post here and fannish work will just go both places. Not quite sure yet. Either way, life is full of new and exciting endevours.

Title: Barney and Family
Author: Rhea314
Rating: PG
Summary: The boys come across a station playing childrens songs, random conversation ensues. Drabble. Not wincest but includes discussion of incest/homosexuality in kids shows.
A/N: I had the darn "we're a happy family" song stuck in my head and I'd just read a pile of SPN fic and the two sort of mixed together, and this is what I got.

Title: Kid Rhymes
Author: Rhea314
Rating: G/PG
Summary: One of Sam's friends teaches him a new song and Sam thinks about his family.
A/N: This song terrified me as a kid, I wanted to work it into an SPN fic about Sam Winchester, this didn't turn out quite like I was intending, but I do actually like it. I hope I conveyed a childs voice well enough. I'm working on the assumption that there was a time before Sam became involved with the family business when he was too young and John and Dean kept it a secret.

So I wouldn't have a full break until I'd written at least something. This story is the product of very little sleep and staring at the sparkley for too long. Originally I was going to write a totally normal original fic involving a sapphire ring, for the obvious reasons but I just finished S6 and was thinking about Lana and plotlines and falling asleep and bamb there was this plot.

Title: I will only marry someone with eyes the color of this stone…
Author: Rhea314
Rating: G
Fandom: SV
Warnings: none
Summary: As a child Lana makes a vow that she’ll only marry someone with eyes as green as the stone that killed her parents. Intended fairy tale structure. Pairing: Lana/Jason Teague and maybe Lex/Clark if you want to read it that way.
A/N: I’m disregarding some timeline bits, mainly because I don’t remember everything, heck I had to go look up Whitney’s name, or else I’d have been calling him Kevin or something.

Whenever I read something it seeps into my writing. Sometimes it's obvious, at least it really used to be. When I was small I was the queen of plagerizing. Give me a book and I could rewrite it back to you with near semblence of form and style, character types and content. I hope over the years I've gotten better, less recognizible in my parroting abilities. We're reading The Bird Artist in school, and I think 'Wool Gathering' bears it some resemblence in vague style. Now on my own time I'm reading Hood, which is wonderful, and so I feel the urge to write about funerals. And of course hamsters which I'm borrowing from Ion Arc by SunHawk, only the funny thing about that is that's more one step rememoved because I do have hamster injokes and a small collection (admittedly no coffe-cups...yet). So that's the inspiration here.

Sadly I don't think I can submit this piece for Creative Writing because the dialogue is only one way, to a cat and so it's not really dialogue. *sigh*
